Readathon Take Two

Since last weekend's readathon wasn't successful. I thought that I would try again this weekend. Perhaps it's foolhardy since there are things that I have to do. But I also have a more realistic list of books to get through-just two: The Unfinished Song: Initiate and Taboo by Tara Maya. Sadly, these are two review books that got lost in the mess of my computer. So I apologize profusely to Tara Maya, but I have found them  now and I guess that's the important thing. So now all I need to do is finish the last few pages of The Future Door and I can get started.

Here I go!!

Saturday 6:15pm
I have finished reading The Future Door and I have started The Unfinished Song: Initiate. I'm reading it on Kindle so I can only say that I am 27% into it. I am saddened that it got lost and I am just now getting into this story. It's really good. I have gone to my nephew's birthday party and Wal-Mart for errands. But since I wasn't driving I read in transit.  So I have made progress. I will try to get paperwork and homework done late tonight so I can focus on reading during the day. Now I am off to deal with a flat tire.

Sunday 1:17
Well the readthon is almost over, and I kind of want to go ahead and turn in the towel now, but I'm not.  I have a lot of things that I have to get done today, but I will try to multitask and get some reading done as well. I made it to the 50% mark on my kindle with Initiate. It's a really good book, but my nephew and niece wore me out yesterday. Not to mention having to deal with a flat tire.  But we will see how it goes today.

Monday 7:45 am
I just wanted to post one final update. I would love to say that in the final hour of the readathon I kicked butt and finished Initiate. Unfortunately, I had homework that was due at midnight and paperwork that was due today that I had to finish. But I fell asleep reading and made some progress. But the good news is that I don't have those to distract me anymore so I can continue making progress. Plus, the hard part is over. I have started the book and found that the story is captivating. it is jumpy at times, but I definitely want to keep reading. And so I shall. Tune in later for my New Author Monday post, and if you haven't enter the contest from last week.

Always Shine,
