Free Speech Matters To Me

I was talking to my niece the other day about reading challenges for 2012. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I am definitely doing the Debut authors challenge hosted by The Story Siren. But after seeing this video, I think I am also going to try to read as many banned books as possible. Perhaps I will start my own challenge, who would be interested in participating in a banned book challenge?

Honestly, I hope to one day join this list of authors who have been banned. Not because being banned is cool or even okay,  but because the topics were a little too real for stiff adults to deal with. But the topics are relevant to teens today.
